“Chalk the Walk” is typically an innocent and fun way to welcome teachers and students back to school. But what if your children were welcomed back to school with political messages chalked on their public school grounds?
Local politically progressive group Lakers for Love, along with school board candidate Dustin Smith, “chalked the walk” together at several PLSAS public schools on August 24th. In posts made by both Lakers for Love and Dustin Smith, photos were shared of them chalking messages in front of Bridges ALC. One of these “welcoming messages” included the politically charged word WOKE. This same message was also chalked at the staff entrance of the District Service Center.
Does this type of messaging seem appropriate written on taxpayer property?
Does WOKE really make our district staff feel appreciated?
Is WOKE who you want making important decisions for your children?
